Monday 29th November 2010


Indi is still struggling with the fact she opened and read the letter Annie sent Romeo. She confesses her actions in Sid, who is disappointed and thinks Indi should be honest with Romeo about what she’s done. Indi worries Romeo will never talk to her again, but Sid presses the importance of honesty in relationships. Meanwhile, Romeo is confused as to why Indi is keeping her distance. He suspects it may have something to do with the letter and when Indi finally confesses he’s furious. Nicole and Miles try to counter his anger, explaining that Indi probably only read the letter out of insecurity, and Romeo should take a soft approach and talk to her about why she felt this way. Romeo isn’t open to forgiveness at this stage and it seems as though Indi’s fear that she’s lost him forever may be true.

The discovery of blood in Penn’s hotel room is matched to Penn’s blood type and it seems as though he has met with foul play. With very little to go on, the police investigation is moving slowly – the revelation that a cabby picked Penn up and drove him to the Surf Club late the prior day, their only lead. Charlie asks Alf to come to the station for an informal chat about the last time he saw Penn. Alf is rattled – the last time he had an ‘informal chat’ he was charged with assaulting Penn. Charlie assures him it’s just a routine chat and Angelo will have to make a statement too, but Alf is still feeling very uneasy. Later that night as he debriefs at Summer Bay House, everyone is there to show their support, but Miles does worry, that given the past, should Penn be found dead, Alf may well be the number one suspect.

The truth about Mitzy’s prediction re Marilyn’s end date is weighing on Sid – heavily. When Sid finds himself advising Indi on honesty in relationships he’s forced to take a good hard look at his own. He decides he needs to come clean. He psychs himself up but when the moment comes, Marilyn receives an urgent phone call and has to rush home. It seems Sid will be left holding his secret for another long night.

Ruby is excited to be starting driving lessons, but is less than enthused about spending her afternoons in a car with an ageing instructor. She’s pleasantly surprised when she runs into a hot young guy named Alex, who just happens to be her instructor. The lesson goes well and it’s clear Ruby is very interested in her teacher – will she be able to reel him in and get her license as well?


Tuesday 30th November 2010


With the revelation that Robertson will be arriving to take over the investigation into Penn’s disappearance, Charlie is far from happy. He arrives in his usual style, but this time he has a sidekick with him, Graves – a very young detective in training. Dex is instantly smitten, but there’s no time for romance as Robertson and Graves take over the sweep of the hotel room and find some sequins they hope will provide a lead. Meanwhile, Alf and Sid get their stories straight about the night Penn went missing – they fear the fact they were talking about running Penn out of town may seem suss. Robertson asks Charlie to put together a file on Alf and she realises he’s a suspect. She confides this in an equally worried Angelo, who is acutely aware of what this will mean for his friend. Later that night, Robertson pays Alf a visit – he thinks it’s time they had a chat.

Romeo and Indi discuss the letter situation and Indi reveals that she feared Romeo was going to agree to Annie’s request to spend the holidays with her in Japan. Romeo reveals that he only ever considered agreeing to go when Indi read the letter - it seemed more fun than hanging around fighting. Although he had a special relationship with Annie, that’s over and he’s in love with Indi.

When John arrives asking if Xavier would still like help working on the Mad Max car, Gina is a little output that things are moving on without her - little does she know, John is very much in love with her and keen to rekindle their relationship. He confides this want in Xavier, who tells John the best plan of action is an apology and then a new ‘proper’ proposal. John takes the bull by the horns and tells Gina he intends to marry her – one way or another. Gina is less than receptive to the declaration and John is left wondering just how he’ll win Gina back.


Wednesday 1st December 2010


Robertson is still questioning Alf when Nicole arrives home, perplexed by the detective’s presence. She is immediately drawn into the questioning and Alf steps in to put a stop to it. Alf pays Charlie a visit and tells her about his worry that Nicole is being pegged as a suspect. He then confesses the truth about Tulip and the reason there was so much tension between him and Penn. Charlie takes this information to Robertson and reveals that she has a duty as a police officer to confide in him – but it’s not easy. Alf is summoned to the police station and it’s clear to him that Charlie has broken his confidence. When Robertson shows Alf a picture of Tulip he denies knowing her. Later, Alf and Charlie discuss the situation and his initial anger over her betrayal softens to an understanding – Charlie knows Alf didn’t murder Penn, but the fact he lied about Tulip has only made him look guilty.

Irene is worried about the affect Will’s relationship with Shandi is having on Lily. She makes her feelings known and Will is defensive, telling Irene to butt out – he’s not a kid anymore. Frustrated by Will’s lack of insight into the real Shandi, things only get worse when she stays the night and upsets Lily further – Irene has had enough. She gives Will a serve but it’s interrupted by Shandi and the two head off to the beach. There, Will expresses his want to put an end to things with Shandi, it can’t go on, given everything that’s happened. But Shandi charms him and turns him around with a kiss and a promise of good times to come.

Xavier is worried about Gina and John, he’s really feeling the pressure of their separation and thinks it’s up to him to get them back on track. He seeks out April’s help and when they stumble upon Gina alone at lunch, Xavier thinks it’s a perfect time for them to chat. He heads off to find John, instructing April to keep Gina busy until he gets back. John reluctantly agrees, fearing any conversation will be futile – and he’s right. Gina promptly quells any idea of romance or a relationship, telling John they have no future. She has to distance herself from him or she won’t be able to move on. John is adamant he’ll change her mind, but his confidence has taken a hit. Meanwhile, Xavier and April watch on in the distance, oblivious to the fact the two are well and truly a long way from any kind of reconciliation.


Thursday 2nd December 2010

Robertson is still questioning Nicole over the sequins when Alf arrives and insists Robertson leaves. Alf is very concerned at the effect the investigation is having on his loved ones. Robertson decides to question Colleen, who revels in being of assistance to the police. He then asks Miles and Alf to come to the Surf Club for a chat. Miles is adamant Robertson won’t get the better of him but he’s stumped when Robertson asks what he knows about Alf and Tulip O’Hare. Alf joins them and the two deny any knowledge – but Robertson knows they’re lying. He tells Graves they need to catch Alf out and prove this. Later, they stake out Tulip’s grave and Alf shows up to pay his respects. His actions are caught on camera and it looks like Roberson has Alf exactly where he wants him.

April is confused about where Bianca stands with Vittorio – are they still engaged? Bianca isn’t sure herself, but Vittorio quickly makes his feelings known, he assumes they still are. This sets Bianca into a spin, she’s confused and not at all sure whether she can trust him. He gave his word to her that he would never cheat, and he did – what if he does it again? Her doubts about Vittorio are only strengthened when he takes the opportunity to smile at every attractive woman he sees. Add to this Bianca’s flashback’s of the night she found him in bed with Grace and she’s one confused woman. Vittorio tells her he’s sorry and he will never cheat again, but only Bianca can decide whether she can see past his indiscretion. Bianca tries her best, but when a romantic dinner leads her back to his hotel room, it’s too much, and she runs off, desperately torn and unsure of what to do.

Dex is smitten with Graves. But his plans to woo her in a suit are quickly squashed when Sid refuses to let him leave the house wearing it. Enter Dex’s aviator sunglasses – surely they will impress Graves. He arrives at school, glasses in place and April is confused by his new look. He tells April he’s out to impress and needs to skip school to do so. Unfortunately his efforts are in vain and Graves is clearly not interested. Despite several attempts to pursue her, Dex doesn’t score a date, but has he done enough to catch Graves’ attention?


Friday 3rd December 2010


Post running off from Vittorio’s hotel room, Bianca is still confused about how to handle the whole affair situation. When Gina finds her in tears at work, she feels she my have some experience with what Bianca is feeling and offers her a shoulder. The two women talk and both gain something out of sharing their feelings. Bianca is momentarily buoyed, but she bumps into Vittorio who tells her he’s leaving on a plane back to Italy – tonight. Bianca is crushed and she dashes over to his hotel, begging him not to go. Vittorio says he can’t spend his life paying for his mistake and Bianca assures him he won’t have to. Vittorio also believes that Bianca wants Liam and when Bianca denies this Vittorio tells her there’s no point them being together – she’ll never let it go. Confused as to whether the ‘it’ means his affair or Liam, Bianca is surprised when later that night Vittorio shows up on her doorstep. He tells her if she’s prepared to start making new memories with him, then maybe they have a chance. As he leads her towards the bedroom, Bianca’s phone rings – the call goes unheard but we see she has just missed a call from Liam.

Irene tries again to get into Will’s headspace, but he’s adamant to keep her at a distance. When Shandi meets up with Will and tells him she’s leaving town, Will is even more confused and at a loss with what’s happening in his life. Irene thinks it’s a great development, this means he can focus on reconciling with Gypsy – but that’s the last thing Will wants. When he accidentally leaves his phone at the Diner, Irene can’t help herself - she calls Gypsy and fills her in on what’s been happening. Will is furious and Irene is concerned that he’s hiding something – Gypsy said it was his fault they split up, not hers…what else could he be hiding?

Ruby is busy getting all dolled up when there’s a knock at the door. It’s Alex, her driving instructor and Ruby is crushed when he tells her he’s double booked and needs to move her lesson to the afternoon. Ruby takes it with a smile, but she’s devastated all her preening has been for nothing. At school, she’s still thinking of Alex and her distracted mood gets her into trouble with Miles. When the lesson finally rolls around, Ruby is on fire. She flirts her way through but is perplexed as to why Alex isn’t responding to her. He explains he can’t date a student, but Ruby is doing well and will have her license in no time – then they can talk. Ruby is over the moon.
