GTI Project - Scalextric online game

Always wanted to race around the ultimate Scalextric track, but never had enough pieces to create more than a figure-of-8 around your sofa via the coffee table?

To mark the UK launch of the new Golf GTI on 22nd May 2009, Volkswagen has constructed a Scalextric track on an epic scale inside a hangar to give you the chance to race the new hot hatch against the clock, from the comfort of your own armchair (and with no risk of mowing down the family cat).

The ‘GTI Project’ game lets you control the 1:43 scale Golf GTI as it negotiates the hairpins, straights and narrow bridges that make up the track, which features over 200 scale buildings in a space occupying 25ft by 30ft.

For the competitive amongst you, if you set a particularly quick time then you’ll be entered into the prize draw to stand the chance of winning the opportunity to drive a new Golf GTI for three months!
