Trinny & Susannah on… Glamour

Coming soon to ITV1, Trinny and Susannah are once again going nationwide with a brand new assault on five style issues facing British women today with Series Two of Trinny & Susannah Undress The Nation. Here, Trinny and Susannah share their secrets on how to look glamorous every day.

Trinny: “We feel like glamour has gone out of fashion, people used to dress up as soon as they left their front door. Britain was so glamorous, now so many people go for the lowest common denominator and don’t make an effort.”

Susannah: “It didn’t matter what they were doing whether they were going to the theatre, shopping, they always made an effort and that has been lost. Nowadays it feels like people only dress up for weddings and funerals. We wanted to see if we could inject some more glamour back in to Britain.”

Trinny: “I think glamour is about inner glow, so if you project on the outside this very confident look you’re going to feel very good on the inside. We wanted to show women that glamour is nothing to be scared of.”

Trinny and Susannah share their secrets on how to look feminine and glamorous every day without feeling like you’re going over the top.

Susannah: “The first step is usually the hardest but by wearing luxurious underwear or some beautiful jewellery you’ll find that it changes everything.”

Trinny: “A little peplum sleeve is feminine, it brings femininity out. Print is usually more feminine than block colour. And when you’ve got a slightly bigger bum and hips if you have a print it makes it even smaller than if you have one block colour there.”

Susannah: “Wrap dresses are very good and easy to wear to feel feminine.”

Trinny: “Glamour is all about getting fitted – and by that we mean focusing on tailored shapes that show off your figure. Ladies we want to see your BWL – bums, waist and legs!”

Susannah: “Focus on your best bits, don’t drown them in oversize clothes, show them off.”
