FHM's Sexiest Woman In The World announced
Now in its 14th year, FHM's 100 Sexiest Women In The World poll is the original and biggest search for the sexiest women in the world. This year nearly ten million votes were cast by FHM readers worldwide. Find out who won!
FHM UK is proud to announce that American actress Megan Fox is the global winner of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2008 poll. The Transformers star, who will celebrate her 23rd birthday next month, flew straight in as a new entry at the top of the list after the biggest – and most surprising - FHM poll in history.
Take a look at the Top 100 list.
Megan beat last year’s winner Jessica Alba (2nd) to top spot, despite another extremely successful year for the Californian beauty. The sexiest UK woman for the second year running is Keeley Hazell (3rd), who once again just missed out on the crown. Movie star Elisha Cuthbert finished 4th in the list, with Heroes cheerleader Hayden Panettiere (5th) completing the top five in the poll. Early favourite Cheryl Cole finished 7th.
FHM is now published in 30 countries around the world. Following today’s publication of the UK results, FHM’s international network will be revealing their local top 100 in the coming weeks.
FHM’s Editor-In-Chief Anthony Noguera comments: “FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World delivers the original and most famous list of the planet’s most beautiful women. And this year, after 9.7 million votes from around the world, it’s never been more authoritative.
“Megan Fox is a very deserving winner of this year’s FHM title. From out of nowhere, she’s captured the hearts – and fantasies – of British men to capture the No.1 slot. With such incredible competition, and after just one major film role, that is an amazing achievement.
“But in a year when Kate Moss and even former winner Jennifer Lopez were ousted, nothing could surprise us anymore.”
Elsewhere in the list, gossip column favourites and Page Three wannabes seem to have been replaced in men’s affections. Opera soprano Katharine Jenkins and Kirsty Allsopp, presenter of Channel Four’s Location, Location, Location made startling debuts - beating not only the aforementioned Moss and Lopez but also former favourites Kylie Minogue and Holly Willoughby.
FHM's 100 Sexiest Supplement, featuring 64 pages of the hottest women in the world, comes free with the June edition of FHM, on-sale in the UK now.
