Last Of The Summer Wine: Seasons 5 & 6
Whilst the adventures of three pensioners might not be eyeryone's cup of tea, Roy Clarke's Yorkshire set sitcom is now in it's 27th year, and the hugely popular BBC One fixture shows no sign of letting up.
Touted as a favourite show of the Queen herself, this boxset goes right back to when Clegg and Compo still had the mobility to partake in the many hair-brained schemes their self-appointed leader Foggy came up with. If you're after gentle family-friendly comedy to watch with your nan, this is perfectly suited for it's post-Songs Of Praise Sunday evening slot, with plenty in these 1980s episodes that's still fresh enough for modern audiences to enjoy.
Admittedly, it's not the sort of thing you'd watch intently if you value your sanity, but well-written mildly amusing shows is perfect lazy day foddder to zone in and out of. And anyone who claims to not be amused by seeing a trio of old men hurtling down a hill on a piano is lying.
