E4’s landmark drama series Skins is back with ten brand new episodes that follow the chaotic lives and lusts of a group of spliff-toting British teenagers. Series 2 starts on E4 on 11th February 2008 and on Channel 4 on 14th February 2008. Take a look at our guide to the characters of Skins...

TONY (Nicholas Hoult)
The best-looking, clever, most popular boy in town. A born leader, he likes a laugh and always at someone else’s expense – that was until he got hit by a bus and ended up in intensive care for six months.

SID (Mike Bailey)
Poor Sid. Fails at everything, from coursework to getting laid. Spent forever lusting after his best mate’s gorgeous girlfriend while said best friend Tony played him like a fool. But not anymore, not since Tony’s accident. Not since he fell for Cassie. But she’s in Scotland and Tony’s messed up, so he’s lost all over again.

MICHELLE (April Pearson)
Oh to be Tony’s girlfriend ‘Nips’ again. She’s still drop dead gorgeous, but without Tony to run rings around her she’s actually miserable. Even Sid hasn’t looked at her in months.

CASSIE (Hannah Murray)
A total nutter, but magic with it. Bright as a button, despite the drugs and no food policy. Though she’s better now. And one day she’ll come back from Scotland and her and Sid will live happily ever after…

CHRIS (Joe Dempsie)
Always game for a laugh. Chris doesn’t need a family, or a home, so long as he’s got something to smoke, screw, pop, puff and snort he’ll be fine. Always look on the bright side eh?

JAL (Larissa Wilson)
Hands down the most talented young classical clarinet player in the country. Super bright, sharp as a tack, nothing gets past Jal. But does all that make her boring? Maybe it’s time to let go a little.

MAXXIE (Mitch Hewer)
The school sweetheart. Magic on his feet and a whiz with his hands, Maxxie can have any boy he wants. And he wants almost all of them.

ANWAR (Dev Patel)
Anwar’s says his family don’t think sex has been invented yet. So he’s here to boldly go where no Muslim boy has gone. He wants girls, tall girls, short girls, in fact any girl that’ll have him so long as she’s got breasts.

EFFY (Kaya Scodelario)
Tony’s little sister tends to keep her mouth shut, but her eyes and ears open. She takes more and gets up to more than they all think, and she knows how to get what she wants too.

POSH KENNETH (Daniel Kaluuya)
Posh Kenneth offers us a rare mix of upper crust elocution and street bangin' language. What no-one knows is that the Big K is a big hit with the ladies too.

ABIGAIL (Georgina Moffat)
Posh, pretty and pumped full of prescription medication, Michelle’s nemesis lives in a world of imported carpets, private school and constant therapy. She also thinks she’s Tony’s girlfriend.

SKETCH (Aimee-Ffion Edwards)
What do little girl's dream of? Sugar and Spice and all things Maxxie. So what if he's gay? In Sketch's world, dreams do come true. Even if you have to force them a little. The geek who no-one notices, Sketch has plans for everyone.
