David Hoflin (Neighbours' Oliver Barnes) Interview

David Hoflin plays Oliver Barnes, who’s about to become a dad to Carmella’s baby, Chloe.

“Chloe’s real name is Sarah-May and she’s a beautiful baby,” says David. “We saw her when she was just born and watched her grow in time for her appearance on Neighbours.

“I’m going to miss her,” David continues, alluding to when his character Oliver exits the show later this year.

“To be honest, working with her has made me become quite broody. I never thought I would be soft and fluffy about babies until now.”

David, whose parents are Swedish, joined Neighbours a year ago. David was ten when he starred in his first role alongside Meryl Streep and Sam Neill in Evil Angels, a film about the famous tragic case where a dingo stole baby Azaria Chamberlain from her tent at Ayers Rock.

With his bright blonde hair and blue eyes, David was a striking choice to appear in TV dramas and films. At the age of 14 he played Jason Bates in the Australian Adventure-Sci-fi television series, Ocean Girl. His other TV appearances include: All Saints; Head Start; McLeod's Daughters; Eugenie Sandler P.I.; State Coroner and The Lost World.
