Adam & Joe release Song Wars: Volume One album

6 Music presenters Adam & Joe will release a 24-track album, Adam & Joe’s Song Wars Volume One, exclusively through iTunes on 23rd June 2008.

Song Wars, which is the brainchild of Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish, is a popular and much loved feature of their Saturday morning show which airs on BBC 6 Music. It follows a simple premise: every week the presenters pit their musical talents against each other by composing and performing one song each, based around a common theme, such as public transport or climate change and then asking the listeners to pick a favourite. In Joe's words, 'It's a bit like Star Wars, only with songs instead of the stars'. The first 24 songs from the show are available on this album.
