Father Dear Father: The Complete 4th Series on DVD

Network will release Father Dear Father: The Complete 4th Series on September 1st 2008, RRP £12.99. The marvellous Patrick Cargill (Carry on Regardless) stars as middle aged divorcee Patrick Glover in this classic ITV comedy.

Patrick is the successful writer of trashy thriller novels but after his wife Barbara (Ursula Howells - The Forsyte Saga) runs off with his best friend, Patrick is left to bring up their two irrepressible teenage daughters Karen (Anne Holloway – Emmerdale Farm) and Anna (Natasha Pyne – Van der Valk). Patrick tries to maintain order in his chaotic household but always seems to be in a state of confusion as he tries to cope with his daughters latest exploits, his ex-wife and her new husband, his mother, his agent and the family dog, a great St. Bernard called H. G Wells.

This popular generation gap comedy ran for seven series and featured numerous guest stars including Lesley Phillips, June Whitfield, Bill Fraser and Peter Jones. Created by comedy writing partnership Brian Cooke and Johnnie Mortimer (Man about the House, George and Mildred, Robin’s Nest), this disc contains all 7 episodes of the fourth series.
